Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chuy Bacca (ranked 878 p4p, 50 weight class) and New Breed One (ranked 1232 p4p, 67 weight class). Bacca comes to the cage accompanied by Buena Vista Social Club - Hasta Siempre . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chuy Bacca! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, New Breed One! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bacca paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. One takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
One avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Bacca lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Bacca scores with a jab to the jaw. Chuy Bacca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bacca clobbers One with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. We've been told by Bacca's head coaches at Seppes Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Bacca gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows One to score an easy takedown into full guard. One throws a strike but Bacca rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! One throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
One is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bacca defends well. Bacca is looking to stand up but One won't let him. Our spies down at at AREA 51 GROUND inform us that One has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
That's one minute gone in the round. One looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bacca gets to his feet. One looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! One takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Bacca misses with a head kick.
Bacca thumps One with a low kick. Bacca scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. One doesn't seem bothered though. Bacca digs a good hook to One's body.
Bacca lands with an uppercut that bounces One off the cage and back into range. A head kick misses from Bacca. One has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from One there as he acknowledges the shot. Bacca fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. One displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bacca throws out the jab. Bacca throws an ugly left hook that misses
and One counters with a single leg into guard. Bacca didn't expect that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. One is looking to work some ground and pound but Bacca has wrist control. One trying to control the position from guard on top but Bacca is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. One's corner is telling him to maintain position. One throws a big right hand that misses. One trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Bacca is looking to stand up but One isn't so interested in that idea. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. The crowd cheers as Bacca lands an impressive looking overhand right. One doesn't seem phased though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. One walks into a jab. One shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bacca connects with a single shot there. Bacca swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by One. Bacca is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. One tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bacca sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten One somewhat. Bacca bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Bacca throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Bacca throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
One swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. One shoots in for a takedown but Bacca shows good takedown defense. Bacca throwing a counter right hand but One manages to avoid it. Chuy Bacca has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of New Breed One. One has a takedown stuffed.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bacca stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Chuy Bacca is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bacca throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
One drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bacca defends it well. One misses with a takedown attempt and Bacca counters with a lovely straight right hand! A lazy left from Bacca finds it's target. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! One takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Bacca tries a head kick but it misses.
A swing and a miss from Bacca. Bacca scores with a punch to the head. One moves out of range as Bacca strikes. Bacca misses with a straight right. Bacca lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. One shoots in and drives through. Bacca sprawls well. Bacca fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chuy Bacca dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Bacca misses with a looping left. Bacca throws an ugly left hook that misses
and One counters with a single leg into guard. Bacca didn't expect that. Bacca is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst One is controlling him. One wants to control from the top but Bacca keeps moving. One looking to pass the guard. One working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bacca's head. Bacca knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for One on the ground. Bacca wants to stand but One is controlling the position. One has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. One works over Bacca with some ground and pound from guard. One trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. One forces his way into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. One performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Bacca tries to kick One off but One keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. One is looking for a kimura here.
One trying to control the action but Bacca is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. One works his way into side control. One tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bacca wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! One controls the position from side control. Bacca is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, One asserts his dominance and retains side control. New Breed One has got the better of the ground game so far. One is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bacca has escaped the position, nice work there. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bacca is not content to let One control the position. One is trying to get an arm triangle but Bacca is defending well. One looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. One scores with punches from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. One prevents Bacca from escaping the position. One thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. One looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Bacca bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Bacca is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that One can do to turn this around? One bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A little jabbing left from One on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. One uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bacca.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bacca plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Nice body punch from Bacca. One tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bacca swivels and escapes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
New Breed One showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Bacca throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. One doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Bacca cracks One with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Bacca waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract One. Both fighters circling a little - Bacca finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Bacca tried to score with a low kick but One checks it. A decent looking cross lands there for Bacca. Bacca ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Excellent takedown into side control there by One. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. One working the ground and pound. One throwing strikes but missing, from side control. One working the ground and pound but Bacca is defending the strikes. Bacca is trying to buck One off.
That's one minute gone in the round. One is trying to get an arm triangle but Bacca is defending well. One in side control lands a decent elbow. One working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. One trying to control the action but Bacca is working from the bottom. One is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bacca knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bacca wants to get back to his feet. One tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. One prevents Bacca from escaping the position. One in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. One tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bacca sneaks out the side door and pushes One away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. One slips a straight right by Bacca. One bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. One has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. One tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bacca defends well and One ends up having to push Bacca into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. One takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Bacca throws a half hearted mid kick. A nice leg kick lands there from Bacca. Bacca scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. One slips a straight right by Bacca. One with the counter takedown but Bacca avoids it easily. Chuy Bacca is winning the standup battle so far. One takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. One fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bacca to the ground. One is now in Bacca's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! One drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bacca looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bacca looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bacca!
Bacca stands up. Bacca throws an overhand right that lands on One's shoulder, as One tries to avoid the shot. One displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bacca throws out the jab. Donk. Bacca catches One right on the button with a cross. Bacca jabs One to the body, keeping him at a distance. One closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bacca to the mat! Bacca manages to get full guard. One wants to pass the guard but Bacca is keeping the position. One prevents Bacca from getting back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Chuy Bacca showed his dominance in that final round. I think Bacca has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
