PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daana Wyte (ranked 823 p4p, 119 weight class) and Dwayne Haskins (ranked 1949 p4p, 247 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daana Wyte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dwayne Haskins!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haskins misses with a two punch combination.
Wyte throws a hook but Haskins avoids it easily.

Wyte pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wyte throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Haskins! But no joy.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Haskins, as that shot connected.
Haskins displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Wyte throws out the jab.

Haskins scores with a head kick. Wyte tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Wyte has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Haskins finds it's way round the side to connect with Wyte's head.
Wyte takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Haskins dips a shoulder and cracks Wyte with a mighty uppercut! Wyte falls back against the cage and Haskins unloads with a barrage of strikes! Wyte is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Haskins screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
