Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chip Nickel (ranked 2009 p4p, 238 weight class) and Leon Lentz (ranked 1161 p4p, 147 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nickel tries to clinch but Lentz is having none of it.
Lentz looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Nickel fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lentz manages to avoid it.
Nickel looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lentz throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Nickel counters with a low kick, right behind Lentz 's knee.
Lentz throws a hook to the side of Nickel's head but Nickel sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nickel looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Nickel is looking to clinch but Lentz is avoiding it.
Nickel displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lentz throws out the jab.
A little feinted left hand from Nickel on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lentz throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nickel connects with an inside leg kick.

Nickel moves out of range as Lentz strikes.

Nickel lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A bone on bone clash there as Lentz blocks the leg kick.
Lentz throws out a counter right but Nickel avoids it with no problem.

Lentz might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Nickel moves in looking to clinch but Lentz pushes him off.

Nickel is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
