Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryohei Horie (ranked 4875 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louis Edwards (ranked 3137 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryohei Horie could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Louis Edwards's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryohei Horie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Louis Edwards! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Chad Campbell and Lou da Vinci.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards forces Horie back against the cage and clinches. Horie wants to break free but Edwards has control.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Horie. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Edwards breaks the clinch.
Ryohei Horie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A head kick misses from Horie. Horie falls off balance throwing a combination
and Edwards counters with a takedown into side control. Horie tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Horie is in bad spot here.
Horie has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Edwards. Horie tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Edwards landing punches.

Edwards has hold of Horie's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Horie manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Edwards lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Edwards wants to take Horie's back but he can't do it this time. Edwards misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Edwards looking to control and managing it successfully. Edwards throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Edwards has control of Horie's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Horie regains control of the situation pretty easily.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Edwards raining down shots from the mount! Horie wants to control but Edwards is having none of it. The referee warns Horie that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Edwards controlling his opponent. Edwards lands a big shot there that rocks Horie but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Horie keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Edwards is landing with some decent strikes but Horie is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Edwards get's back to his feet. Horie tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Edwards tries to counter with a clinch but Horie shakes him off and moves away.
Edwards looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Horie!
Horie sneaks out the side door and pushes Edwards away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Horie tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Edwards is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Horie slips under a jab from Edwards. Horie throws a body punch but Edwards moves out of range. Edwards looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Horie doesn't manage to clinch there - Edwards circles away.
Edwards shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Edwards is nestled in close to Horie, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Louis Edwards dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Horie lands a nice hook to Edwards's body. Edwards takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Edwards closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Horie to the mat! Horie manages to get full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Edwards is pushing down on Horie's leg trying to pass to half guard. Horie is fighting to maintain full guard but Edwards has managed to sneak the leg through. Edwards controlling the action here. Edwards throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Edwards throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Horie wants to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Edwards content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Horie pushes Edwards off looking to stand but Edwards dives back in and keeps control.

Edwards escapes and gets back to his feet. Horie tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Edwards counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Horie is looking to get back to is feet but Edwards passes into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Edwards is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Horie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Edwards stands up and beckons Horie to his feet. Horie tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ryohei Horie is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Edwards misses with a body shot.
Edwards has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Edwards has managed to clinch.
Edwards breaks from the clinch.
Edwards scores with a takedown into Horie's guard. Horie wants to get back to his feet but Edwards passes into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Edwards seems to be looking for submissions.
Horie has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Edwards is working away from the top position though. Edwards lands with a punch from half guard. Edwards sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Horie defending well though.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Edwards trying to control the pace. Edwards's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Let's hope that Edwards has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Louis Edwards has got the better of the ground game so far. Horie is trying to maintain the position but Edwards is very close to passing his half guard.
Edwards is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Edwards sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Horie defending well though. Edwards not doing much here.
Edwards moves nicely into side control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Edwards working the ground and pound from side control. Edwards is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Louis Edwards showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Edwards feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Edwards working some strikes from top position. Edwards missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.  That's one minute gone in the round. Horie tries to land a sweep but no joy. Edwards is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Edwards closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Horie to the mat! Horie manages to get full guard. Edwards slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Edwards scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Horie avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Edwards sitting in guard here, content to control.
Edwards has gone for a leg lock! Horie slips out almost immediately though and dives into Edwards's guard.
Edwards looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Edwards is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Horie presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Edwards keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Horie's efforts to push away.
Edwards is trying to trip Horie. He has hold of a leg but Horie is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Edwards persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Horie wants to sweep here but Edwards controlling him for the moment. Edwards controlling from the top position. Edwards pushing down on Horie's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Edwards is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Horie!

Edwards is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Edwards extends the arm and Horie is forced to tap!
