The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pines fails with a takedown attempt.
Pines has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Longbardo is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Pines lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Longbardo circles away quickly and effectively.

Longbardo tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Pines is able to avoid easily.
Pines looks to land a right hand but Longbardo moved out of range.
Longbardo rushes Pines and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
