Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gentleman Jim (ranked 4590 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marshall Marshall (ranked 2958 p4p, 76 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gentleman Jim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marshall Marshall! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Columbo Gatti and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marshall shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jim as he avoids it easily. Jim gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Marshall is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Marshall tries to work over Jim's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Jim has Marshall pressed against the cage, preventing Marshall from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Jim tries to circle away but Marshall has him pinned against the cage. Marshall gets control of Jim's arms and successfully pulls guard. Marshall will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Marshall looking for a guillotine here but Jim defends easily.
Jim stops Marshall from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jim is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jim tries to free his leg and advance position but Marshall is retaining full guard. Jim with a flurry of punches that miss. Jim being controlled here momentarily. Jim stopping the sweep attempt from Marshall.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Marshall tries a head kick but it misses.
Marshall moves out of range of the body kick from Jim.
Marshall lands a lovely overhand right. The fight moves into the clinch position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marshall gets underhooks to prevent Jim's takedown attempt.
Marshall manages to break the clinch.
Marshall fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jim has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Jim instigates a clinch. Marshall gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Marshall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jim instigates a clinch. Marshall tries to pull guard but Jim holds him up against the cage and eventually Marshall drops back down to his feet.
Marshall is looking to take this one to the mat. Gentleman Jim has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marshall Marshall. Jim is trying to push Marshall away but Marshall has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Jim working hard to break the clinch. Jim breaks the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marshall darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Marshall tries to clinch but fails miserably and Jim counters with a nice uppercut. Marshall Marshall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marshall moves into the clinch. Marshall fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Marshall tries for a takedown. No joy.
Marshall wants to break free but Jim has control.
Marshall has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Jim wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Marshall manages to break the clinch.
Jim gets in close and instigates a clinch. Marshall tries to score a body lock takedown but Jim shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Marshall tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jim just stands there and leans against the cage. Jim has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Marshall avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Marshall taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Jim breaks the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marshall buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A head kick by Jim misses and Marshall counters with a lovely straight right hand! Marshall gets tackled into the cage by Jim. Jim maintains the clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A nice glancing elbow lands by Marshall. Marshall keeps control of Jim as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Jim blocks a body shot from Marshall. Marshall pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Marshall has Jim pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jim manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Marshall is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Jim is defending well. Jim keeps control of Marshall as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Marshall escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jim closes the distance and pushes Marshall back into the cage. Jim manages to pull guard.
Marshall wants to pass the guard but Jim is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Marshall Marshall will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Marshall tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Gentleman Jim is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Marshall fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. A right-left combo lands from Jim.
It looks like Marshall Marshall has been cut. Marshall with a nice cross. Marshall lands with an overhand left. Jim fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Marshall misses with a takedown attempt - Jim sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jim throws a series of punches but Marshall moves out of range. Jim closes the distance and clinches. Jim stalling in the clinch.
Jim has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Marshall wants to get back to striking at distance but Jim won't allow it.
Jim just leaning against Marshall, taking a breather. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Marshall misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Jim.
Jim's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jim throws a head kick but Marshall moves out of range.
Marshall connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Marshall drops Jim with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Jim! Marshall dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marshall Marshall!
