Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Kerr (ranked 114 p4p, 15 weight class) and Remy Valentine (ranked 186 p4p, 29 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Valentine's choice of entrance music: Man with the Harmonica by Ennio Morricone. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Kerr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Remy Valentine!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerr waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Valentine.
A telegraphed right hand from Kerr misses the target.
Valentine is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Kerr misses with a double jab.
Valentine looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Valentine has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Kerr misses with a hook. Valentine ducked under it nicely.
Kerr throws the left hand but Valentine avoids the punch easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Valentine throws a body shot but no joy.
Valentine dodges the punch combination from Kerr.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kerr thuds his right hand into Valentine's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kerr looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
No joy there for Kerr, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mark Kerr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kerr drops Valentine with a nice combination! Kerr dives into Valentine's guard, looking to finish!


Valentine is rocked!


It looks like Remy Valentine has been cut.
Kerr postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Valentine covers up, he's hurt! Kerr keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Kerr and the ref steps in to end the fight! Kerr can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Kerr!
Mark Kerr decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
In defeat, Remy Valentine stepped up to the mic, saying 'I am going to get with my team and rethink a few thinks.'.
