The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbosa lands a nice looking body shot.

Barbosa lands a nice looking kick to the body. Rogers takes a step back to recover.
Rogers looks to throw a body kick
and Barbosa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Barbosa connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rogers momentarily.
Rogers gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Barbosa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Barbosa works the jab nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Barbosa keeps Rogers at a distance using the push kick.
Barbosa scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rogers in his tracks.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Barbosa.
Rogers throws a leg kick
and Barbosa counters with a right hand to the body.
Rogers doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Barbosa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Daniel Barbosa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zack Rogers.
Barbosa throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like Zack Rogers has been cut.

Barbosa digs a good body shot into Rogers's ribs.
Barbosa lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Barbosa lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Rogers moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Rogers takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Barbosa is looking to slow Rogers down with leg kicks.
Barbosa looks to land a combination. Rogers sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Rogers is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A jab lands there for Barbosa.
Rogers is still on wobbly legs! Can Barbosa finish him?
Rogers chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Barbosa can pounce on him.
Daniel Barbosa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barbosa avoids the head kick by Rogers.
Barbosa is looking to counter the offense by Rogers and move into the clinch.
Barbosa cracks Rogers's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Rogers slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Barbosa can do further damage! This one is done, son!
