Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Surge (ranked 5763 p4p, 146 weight class) and Jonathon Harel (ranked 5567 p4p, 154 weight class). Andrew Surge had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrew Surge! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jonathon Harel! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harel stuffs the takedown attempt from Surge. Surge gets slowly back to his feet. Harel shoots in looking for a takedown but Surge manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Harel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Harel throws a head kick but Surge moves out of range.
Surge keeps the fight on the outside. Harel throws a hook to the side of Surge's head but Surge sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Harel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Surge to the mat! Surge manages to get full guard. Surge keeping moving, preventing Harel from controlling successfully. Surge throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Harel content to stall in guard here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Surge keeping moving, preventing Harel from controlling successfully. Surge throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Surge is trying to keep Harel in close.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nice sprawl there from Harel as Surge shoots in. Harel is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Harel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Surge circles away quickly and effectively. Harel scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Andrew Surge has been cut. Harel shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Harel showed some decent athleticism there. Surge has one foot on Harel's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Harel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Surge can't do much from the bottom here. Surge is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Harel wants to stand but Surge has his arm trapped.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Surge is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Harel has just dragged him back down to the mat. Surge is trying to escape the position but Harel is controlling the position. Harel is trying to get an arm triangle but Surge is defending well. Surge looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Harel controls the position from side control. Surge tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Harel tries to get to his feet but Surge is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Harel in his guard. Harel postures up.
Harel stands up over Surge, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Surge has his foot on Harel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Harel works his way back into a safe position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Surge is on top in guard.
Surge passes easily into side control. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jonathon Harel will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Andrew Surge's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Surge tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Harel defends well and Surge ends up having to push Harel into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Surge tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Harel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Surge shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Harel as he jumps to the side. Andrew Surge is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Surge tries for a takedown but Harel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew Surge. That's going to take a lot out of him. Surge avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Surge is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Harel. Harel tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Surge manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Harel tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Surge swivels and escapes. Surge darts in looking for a takedown but Harel gets double underhooks and turns Surge into the cage. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Surge wants it to stay on the feet. It looked like Surge was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Harel misses with a wild body shot. Harel looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Surge is fending him off so far but Harel persists. Nope, Surge circles away and we're back to standing. Surge keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harel dives in for a single leg takedown but Surge sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Harel lands a jab. Harel shoots for a double leg takedown but Surge sprawls well. He's pushed Harel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Surge misses with a body kick. Harel defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Surge. Harel slaps away a takedown attempt from Surge, before circling back to the center of the mat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Harel shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Surge seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Surge shoots in for a double leg but Harel sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Harel misses with a series of wild punches.

Harel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Surge counters by moving into the clinch. Surge tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Harel just stands there and leans against the cage. Harel wants a takedown but no success here.

Harel has Surge pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Surge manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Harel tries to pull guard but Surge holds him up against the cage and eventually Harel drops back down to his feet.

Harel is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Surge will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Harel throwing strikes but missing. Harel cracks Surge with a solid left hand. Harel landing some decent shots from guard. Surge working a defensive guard but Harel manages to pass into side control anyway.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Surge tries to improve position but can't. Harel moves into full mount! Surge is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Harel with the ground and pound from mount. Harel postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Surge looks a forlorn figure.

Jonathon Harel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Andrew Surge's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Surge shoots in but Harel avoids the takedown attempt easily. Harel tries to clinch up but Surge circles away and keeps his distance. Surge tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Surge fails with an attempt to clinch.

Jonathon Harel has got the better of the ground game so far. Surge is pulling down on Harel's head to control his posture. Surge throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Harel wants to control from the top but Surge keeps moving. Harel is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Surge is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Surge moves into the clinch successfully.

Surge's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Harel is trying to push Surge away but Surge has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Harel fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Andrew Surge has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonathon Harel. Harel is trying to force a seperation but Surge has the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harel is trying to pull guard but Surge has him pressed against the cage. Surge presses Harel against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Surge's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Surge. Harel closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Surge is refusing to be controlled, as Harel sits in half guard. Harel is controlling the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Surge manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Surge trying to keep a closed guard but Harel is proving a slippery customer.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Harel controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Andrew Surge has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jonathon Harel is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Harel stopping the sweep attempt from Surge.
