Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Chan Siam (ranked 3934 p4p, 195 weight class) and Jose Pacheco (ranked 19681 p4p, 274 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 5 losses; Chan Siam! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 6 losses; Jose Pacheco!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Pacheco shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Siam pinned against the ropes. Siam gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Pacheco is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Siam decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Siam is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Pacheco has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Siam is looking for the choke from the back position but Pacheco is controlling his hands well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Siam is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Siam is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Siam has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Pacheco has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Siam is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Siam is looking for a kimura but Pacheco is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Siam to get the leverage.

Pacheco is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.
