The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Surge is looking to clinch.
Surge shoots for a double leg takedown but Blabi sprawls well. He's pushed Surge's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Blabi throws out a counter right but Surge avoids it with no problem.
Surge ducks under a wild hook from Blabi.
Blabi sizes up Surge with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Surge walks into a straight right hand from Blabi.
Surge steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Blabi.

Surge has managed to clinch.
Blabi wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Surge has him pressed against the cage.

Blabi is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Surge gets his way!

Surge has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Blabi might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

A little jabbing left from Blabi on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Blabi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Blabi connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Blabi bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Surge's head.

Blabi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Blabi throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Surge stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Surge shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Blabi sprawls well. Blabi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Surge gets slowly back to his feet.
Blabi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Surge takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Oh Surge is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Surge throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Blabi's waist but Blabi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Surge off to one side.

Blabi drops Surge with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Surge! Blabi dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
