Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Abdulvakhid Akhmadov (ranked 4472 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quang Vi Tran (ranked 4367 p4p, 0 weight class). Tran has chosen Embrace You as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quang Vi Tran! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akhmadov shoots in and bounces Tran off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Akhmadov content to stall in guard here. Akhmadov throws a big elbow that misses. Akhmadov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Akhmadov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Akhmadov postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tran not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Akhmadov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tran can do anything to dispel that myth. Akhmadov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Abdulvakhid Akhmadov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Akhmadov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tran for as long as he can get away with. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Akhmadov is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Tran!

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Akhmadov throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Tran is breathing heavily. Akhmadov looking to control and managing it successfully. Akhmadov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Akhmadov continues to stall. Akhmadov throwing strikes here but Tran is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. This is a sustained period of stalling by Akhmadov. Tran holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Akhmadov tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Abdulvakhid Akhmadov dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Akhmadov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Akhmadov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Tran takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

A lull in the action here. Akhmadov moves into full mount! Abdulvakhid Akhmadov is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

And that's the end of the fight! Abdulvakhid Akhmadov showed his dominance in that final round. Well Akhmadov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today.
