Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Buakaw Banchamek (ranked 2944 p4p, 310 weight class) and Adam Bruno (ranked 21512 p4p, 535 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Adam Bruno was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buakaw Banchamek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Adam Bruno!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruno shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Banchamek defends it nicely.
Banchamek cracks the inside of Bruno's front leg.
A left and a right from Banchamek both land. Nice combination.
A head kick misses from Banchamek.
Bruno tries to close the distance and clinch but Banchamek swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nice shot lands for Banchamek.
Bruno takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Bruno fails to land with a series of punches.
We've been told by Banchamek's head coaches at The Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
No luck for Bruno with that takedown attempt.
Bruno chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Banchamek can pounce on him.
Bruno misses with a takedown
and Banchamek counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Buakaw Banchamek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Bruno.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Banchamek ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Banchamek lands the left hand.
Bruno shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Banchamek pinned against the cage. Banchamek gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bruno shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Banchamek keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Bruno wants to control but Banchamek is keeping him busy.
Bruno with the ground and pound but Banchamek uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Bruno looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Banchamek pulls Bruno in close to his closed guard and prevents Bruno from doing any damage or advancing position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bruno trying to control but Banchamek is working from the bottom.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Bruno throws a right and a left that both miss.
Banchamek scores with a head kick.
Bruno is trying hard to land a takedown here. Banchamek sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Banchamek thuds his right hand into Bruno's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Bruno is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bruno walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Bruno limp body while Banchamek jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Buakaw Banchamek!
Buakaw Banchamek seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
