Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ringz daBell (ranked 1694 p4p, 93 weight class) and Tommy Reed (ranked 1214 p4p, 66 weight class). daBell comes to the cage accompanied by DaBaby-Suge. Reed has chosen Tupac ft 50 Cent - Get Up Remix as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tommy Reed!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed has his takedown stuffed
and daBell counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
A decent looking cross lands there for Reed.
daBell throws a shot to the body.
A slow jab from daBell misses its intended target.
Reed is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

daBell fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Reed looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Reed dives in and grabs daBell's left leg, looking for a takedown. daBell pushes down on Reed's head and hops out.

Reed shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in daBell's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

daBell seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

daBell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Reed on the ground.
Reed might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control daBell haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Reed fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging daBell to the ground. Reed is now in daBell's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Ringz daBell will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Reed shoots in looking for a takedown but daBell manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reed's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
daBell throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Reed shoots in and drives through. daBell sprawls well.
Tommy Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
daBell misses with a series of wild punches.
Reed connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between daBell's hands.
Reed avoids the body shot from daBell.
daBell throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reed shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as daBell sprawls well. daBell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Reed gets slowly back to his feet.
As Reed backs away, daBell returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Reed shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has daBell pinned against the cage. daBell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
As Reed looks to move away, daBell throws a big counter combo but Reed just gets out of the way.

Reed closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Reed lands in his opponent's guard.

daBell is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
daBell is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Reed can do to turn this around?

Reed has picked daBell up - he's going for a ride! Reed dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
daBell tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Reed manages to move to mount!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

daBell wants to get up but he can't break Reed's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ringz daBell will probably get the nod.

daBell shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Reed goes for a double leg but daBell avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as daBell continues to drive forward.

Reed drops back looking for a leg! daBell is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and daBell manages to kick Reed off! Reed jumps back into daBell's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looked like daBell was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Reed.

A momentary lapse in concentration from daBell enables Reed to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. daBell manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Reed postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Reed is pushing down on daBell's leg trying to pass to half guard. daBell is fighting to maintain full guard but Reed has managed to sneak the leg through.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Reed working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Ringz daBell showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for daBell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
