Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Spenda (ranked 5405 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emeritus Forge (ranked 23949 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Forge's choice of entrance music: Cirice. Emeritus Forge is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eddie Spenda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Emeritus Forge!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Forge fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Forge tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Spenda paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Forge tries to score a power double leg takedown but Spenda sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Forge somewhat.
It looked like Spenda was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Forge.
Spenda works Forge's body with a nice hook.
Spenda thuds a left hand into Forge's body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Spenda. Forge does a little dance to reset his feet.
Forge is trying hard to land a takedown here. Spenda sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Eddie Spenda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emeritus Forge.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spenda lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Forge at a distance.
Emeritus Forge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spenda bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Forge's head backwards.
Forge throws a hook to the side of Spenda's head but Spenda sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Forge feints and as Spenda raises his hands in defense, Forge changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Spenda looking to hit a scissor sweep but Forge is one step ahead there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Spenda is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Spenda is working an open guard so Forge takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Forge has his takedown stuffed
and Spenda counters with a straight right hand.
Forge tries a head kick but it misses.
Spenda stuffs the takedown attempt from Forge. Forge gets slowly back to his feet.
Forge slips under a jab from Spenda.
Forge takes a jab right on the kisser.
Nice takedown defense from Spenda. No joy for Forge on that attempt.

Forge throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Spenda was covering up waiting for the punch and Forge finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Spenda is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Spenda content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Spenda lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Forge lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Spenda backwards.
Forge misses with a punch on the inside.
Forge wants to break the clinch but can't.
A short right from Spenda on the inside.
Forge throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Spenda blocks an uppercut.
Forge makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Spenda lands with a short shot to the head.
Spenda working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Spenda avoids a wild elbow strike from Forge.
Forge swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Forge takes a shot to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Spenda lands a hook to the side of the head.
Forge is looking to take this one to the mat.
Forge being controlled against the cage.

Forge ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Forge no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Forge working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Spenda.
Spenda throws a big right hand that misses.
Spenda trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Spenda chips away with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Forge has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Spenda can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Forge has his feet on Spenda's thighs here. He's pushed Spenda off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Spenda screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Emeritus Forge was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
