Kassongo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Van Den Berg sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kassongo somewhat.

Van Den Berg looks to land a combination but Kassongo avoids it well.

Van Den Berg went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Van Den Berg swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kassongo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Van Den Berg sprawls well. Van Den Berg wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kassongo gets slowly back to his feet.
Hassan Van Den Berg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackson Kassongo.
Van Den Berg throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Kassongo's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Van Den Berg dives in looking to finish as Kassongo flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Van Den Berg's strikes! Van Den Berg is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Kassongo's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Kassongo was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
