Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between El Guapo (ranked 4420 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Luc Jalbert (ranked 4879 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, El Guapo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean Luc Jalbert! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jalbert looks to land a left hand but Guapo moved out of range nicely. It looked like Guapo was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Guapo drives through and clinches with Jalbert against the cage.
Jalbert has a couple of punches blocked by Guapo.

Guapo breaks from the clinch.
Jalbert misses with a hook
and Guapo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jalbert is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Guapo. Guapo throws a body shot but no joy. Good standup being displayed there by Guapo as he connects with a hook. Guapo wants to clinch up but Jalbert keeps it at a distance. Guapo avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Guapo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Jalbert back to the cage. Guapo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Jalbert throws a right hand that misses
and Jalbert takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Guapo takes a swing at Jalbert's ribcage but misses. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sloppy strikes from Guapo. Those never looked like landing. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jalbert, as that shot connected.
Guapo closes the distance and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jalbert lands with a light punch inside. Jalbert makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Jalbert misses with the head strike.
Jalbert lands a nice uppercut. Jalbert being controlled against the cage. Guapo lands with a right to the head. Guapo taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Guapo breaks the clinch.
Guapo ducks under a wild hook from Jalbert. Guapo on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. A shot to the body from Jalbert misses and Guapo counters with a left and a right that stings Jalbert. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jalbert misses with an uppercut. Jalbert smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Jalbert cracks Guapo with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Guapo tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Jalbert pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Guapo is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jean Luc Jalbert! During a confident post fight interview, Jean Luc Jalbert thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
