Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Louis Edwards (ranked 2693 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norman Young (ranked 3918 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Louis Edwards! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Norman Young! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Chad Campbell and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Edwards shoots for a double leg takedown but Young sprawls well. He's pushed Edwards's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Young looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Young clinches with his opponent.
Young trying to control the position but instead, Edwards has worked for underhooks and has pushed Young into the cage. Edwards has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Young is trying to keep an underhook but Edwards manages to get the takedown into half guard. Edwards is pressing down on Young's thigh, looking to free his foot. Young is holding on for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Young wants to improve his position but Edwards is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Young makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Young. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Edwards won't allow Young to sweep him here. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Young holds on and takes a little breather.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Edwards lands with a slapping head kick. Young shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Edwards defends it nicely. Nice takedown defense from Young. No joy for Edwards on that attempt. Edwards has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Young has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Edwards is trying to pull guard but Young has him pressed against the cage. Edwards keeping full guard, as Young tries to pass. Edwards is trying to control the position but Young postures up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Edwards tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Young just stands there and leans against the cage. Young gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Edwards.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Edwards shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Young manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Young wriggles free and stands up. A low kick from Young is predictable there and Edwards counters by clinching up. Edwards's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Young misses with a knee to the head. Edwards tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Edwards closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Edwards turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Edwards manages to end up in side control. Edwards decides to stand back up. Edwards steps back and let's Young get back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Young tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Edwards swivels and escapes. Young is breathing heavily. Edwards keeps the fight on the outside. Edwards throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Louis Edwards dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Edwards went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Louis Edwards is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Young clinches.
