Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Kyle Kovingten (ranked 25166 p4p, 192 weight class) and Nigel Nobody (ranked 1466 p4p, 37 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kyle Kovingten! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Nigel Nobody! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jonathan Paton and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nobody scores with a jab to the body. Nobody chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kovingten can pounce on him.
Nobody with a hook. Kovingten misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nobody.
Nobody pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kovingten thumps Nobody with a low kick. Kovingten throws a leg kick that is checked and Nobody connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kovingten throws a series of punches but Nobody moves out of range. Kovingten uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Nobody. Nobody uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kovingten. Crunch! Kovingten slams his shin into Nobody's torso. A lazy left from Kovingten finds it's target. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nobody walks into a left hand. Kovingten throws a head kick that misses and Nobody counters with a nice kick to the body. Kovingten throws a lazy uppercut
and Nobody counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kovingten getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Kovingten catches Nobody with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! A head kick misses from Kovingten. Nobody lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kovingten at a distance.
Nobody checks a leg kick nicely. Nobody tries a head kick but it misses.
Kovingten jabbing away but nothing is landing. Nobody tries to keep at a distance but Kovingten has taken the fight into the clinch. Kovingten wants to stall.
Kovingten misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Nobody misses with a hook from the clinch. A shot in the inside from Kovingten. Kovingten is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Nobody is trying to break free. Nobody lands a shoulder strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nobody's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. We've been informed that Nobody has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Kovingten displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kovingten lands a nice leg kick that just misses Nobody's sensitive parts. Kovingten lands a head kick that bluckles Nobody and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Kovingten no doubt looking to push for a finish! A low kick from Kovingten misses and Nobody counters with a straight right hand. Kovingten throws a big shot that misses. Kovingten works over Nobody's head and body with a nice combination.
Nobody is rocked! Nobody throws a big shot that misses. Kovingten delivers a nice body kick. Kovingten jabbing away but nothing is landing. A jab from Nobody finds it's way through Kovingten's defenses. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kovingten lands a jab to the nose. Kovingten wants to clinch up but Nobody keeps it at a distance. Kovingten tries to close the distance and clinch but Nobody swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kyle Kovingten should take that round, based on the knockdown. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Kovingten looks low and kicks high, catching Nobody right on the side of the head, sending him crashing to the canvas! Will he be able to beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's already back to his feet and ready to go! Let's see if he's still with it! Kovingten pushes Nobody up against the ropes in a clinch. Kovingten misses with a short punch on the inside. Kovingten leaning against his opponent.
Nobody manages to break the clinch.
Kovingten fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nobody has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Nobody on the wrong end of a nice hook. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nobody throws a nice outside leg kick. Nobody throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kovingten. Nobody is looking to land body kicks. A little feinted left hand from Kovingten on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Kovingten misses with an uppercut. Kovingten plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Nobody is still on wobbly legs! Can Kovingten finish him? Kyle Kovingten seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kovingten throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Look low, kick high! Kovingten uses the oldest trick in the book to send Nobody tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Kovingten is absolutely delighted - when Nobody wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kyle Kovingten! Kyle Kovingten retains his super heavyweight title! Kyle Kovingten was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed. The defeated Nigel Nobody had this to say: 'I am Nobody!'.
