Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Felix Inarritu (ranked 113 p4p, 14 weight class) and Jon Erikson (ranked 619 p4p, 79 weight class). Inarritu comes to the cage accompanied by Vulcano. Erikson has chosen Gåte - Statt Opp as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erikson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Inarritu.
Inarritu appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Inarritu has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Inarritu throws a hook but Erikson avoids it easily.

Erikson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

A nice inside leg kick there by Erikson. That's going to slow Inarritu down.

As Inarritu backs off Erikson throws a huge counter combo but Inarritu manages to avoid it all.

Inarritu lands a left hand that snaps the head of Erikson backwards.

Erikson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A lazy left from Inarritu finds it's target.
Erikson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Inarritu manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Erikson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Inarritu misses with a straight left.
Erikson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Erikson, as that shot connected.
Erikson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Inarritu had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Inarritu connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

and Inarritu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Erikson throws the left hand but Inarritu avoids the punch easily.
A quick step to the side and Inarritu tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Inarritu misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Erikson.
Erikson tries to counter with a clinch but Inarritu shakes him off and moves away.

The fighters circling - Erikson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Inarritu drops Erikson with a beautiful combination! Erikson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Inarritu is looking for the KO!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A head kick by Inarritu - that's a beauty! Erikson is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Inarritu can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
