Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between DeAndre Curry (ranked 4326 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nofmore Paininsulin (ranked 4548 p4p, 0 weight class). Curry comes to the cage accompanied by To Be Loved. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, DeAndre Curry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nofmore Paininsulin! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Curry throws a nice looking combination but Paininsulin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Curry wants to clinch and Paininsulin counters with a single leg into guard. Curry didn't expect that. Curry is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Paininsulin dives into side control.
Curry is trying to buck Paininsulin off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Paininsulin controlling the position from side mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paininsulin decides to stand back up. Paininsulin steps back and let's Curry get back to his feet. Paininsulin dives in and scores a takedown into Curry's guard. Curry wants to get back to his feet but Paininsulin passes into half guard.
Paininsulin stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Curry throws a sloppy head kick and Paininsulin moves out of range easily. Curry looks for a takedown but Paininsulin sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Paininsulin dives in and grabs Curry's left leg, looking for a takedown. Curry pushes down on Paininsulin's head and hops out. A head kick misses from Paininsulin. Paininsulin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Paininsulin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Paininsulin missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Paininsulin controlling the pace. Paininsulin lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Paininsulin is taking a breather. Curry says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The ref calls for Curry to stand up. Paininsulin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Curry as he avoids it easily. Paininsulin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. DeAndre Curry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nofmore Paininsulin. Paininsulin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Curry knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Paininsulin on the ground.

Curry might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Paininsulin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Curry is fighting to break Paininsulin's control of his arms but Paininsulin is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Curry throwing strikes but missing. Paininsulin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Curry misses with a takedown attempt - Paininsulin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Paininsulin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Curry napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Paininsulin darts in looking for a takedown but Curry gets double underhooks and turns Paininsulin into the cage. Nofmore Paininsulin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Paininsulin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Curry defends well and Paininsulin ends up having to push Curry into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Paininsulin closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Curry quickly recovers to half guard. Paininsulin trying to control the pace. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Curry pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Curry blocks a head kick by Paininsulin.
