Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Detektyw Pikachu (ranked 6398 p4p, 514 weight class) and Ethan Wright (ranked 22406 p4p, 608 weight class). Ethan Wright has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Ethan Wright!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright leaves Pikachu with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pikachu shoots in for a takedown but Wright shows good takedown defense.
Wright shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Wright scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Pikachu is pressing down on Wright's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pikachu is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wright defends well.

Wright wants to control from the top but Pikachu keeps moving.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Wright stands up over Pikachu, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Wright throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pikachu works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Wright tries to sprawl but Pikachu drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Wright is trying to control but can't.

Pikachu is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Wright to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pikachu sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wright's guard.
Pikachu is trying to control. Wright wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wright looking for a sweep. Not yet Wright, not yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pikachu content to stall in guard here.
Wright lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Ethan Wright dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Pikachu tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wright manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Pikachu is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wright is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Detektyw Pikachu overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wright tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pikachu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Pikachu tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Pikachu wants to control but Wright is keeping him busy.
Pikachu goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Wright has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Pikachu but great work by Wright.
Wright misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Wright wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pikachu keeps working.

Wright tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wright has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Pikachu is trying to maintain the position but Wright is very close to passing his half guard.
Pikachu is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wright's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wright's back!
Pikachu has the hooks in. Wright is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Pikachu is riding his opponent, not letting Wright buck him off.
Wright is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Pikachu off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Pikachu is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Wright defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Wright tries to roll but Pikachu sticks to his back.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wright is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Wright has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Pikachu is trying to stick to Wright's back but Wright is turning into Pikachu. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Pikachu's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Wright.

That was a close second round but I would say that Detektyw Pikachu will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Wright is trying to ground and pound but Pikachu uses the momentary lack of control by Wright to regain half guard.

Wright wants to pass the guard but Pikachu is defending well.
Wright looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pikachu with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Wright is nestled in close to Pikachu, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The fighters are battling for position here. Pikachu manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Wright with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Wright lands a couple of digs.
Pikachu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Pikachu pushes a forearm under Wright's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Wright is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Detektyw Pikachu!
During a confident post fight interview, Detektyw Pikachu thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
