Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Najmeddine Mohammed Al Haddad (ranked 5478 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Armando Hernandez (ranked 3825 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Najmeddine Mohammed Al Haddad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jose Armando Hernandez! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hernandez closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Al Haddad quickly recovers to half guard. Hernandez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Al Haddad with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Al Haddad trying to control but Hernandez postures up.
Al Haddad throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Al Haddad is trying to control but can't.
Hernandez looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Al Haddad has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Al Haddad gets full guard. Hernandez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Al Haddad has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hernandez has managed to get both his arms back between Al Haddad's legs - danger averted. Hernandez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hernandez content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Al Haddad is on top in guard.
Al Haddad is standing up over Hernandez. Hernandez looks to escape but Al Haddad dives into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hernandez is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Al Haddad has just dragged him back down to the mat. The strikes coming from Al Haddad are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Al Haddad tries for a kimura but Hernandez is defending well. Al Haddad is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Al Haddad has just dragged him back down to the mat. Hernandez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Al Haddad. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Al Haddad throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Hernandez pushes Al Haddad away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Al Haddad gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Hernandez is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Hernandez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Al Haddad avoids it really well and circles away. Hernandez darts in looking for a takedown but Al Haddad gets double underhooks and turns Hernandez into the cage. Al Haddad throws a big counter combination but Hernandez scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Hernandez gets a takedown into half guard. Al Haddad is pressing down on Hernandez's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Al Haddad is looking to stand up but Hernandez isn't so interested in that idea. Al Haddad has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Hernandez doesn't defend quickly enough and Al Haddad has managed to lock this one up! Can Hernandez escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Al Haddad on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Najmeddine Mohammed Al Haddad!
