Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Char Xiu (ranked 1669 p4p, 191 weight class) and Liang Hanying (ranked 1250 p4p, 149 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xiu lands with an overhand left.
Hanying checks the leg kick nicely there.
Hanying takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Char Xiu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Xiu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hanying tries to avoid it but Xiu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hanying to the ground. Hanying escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've been hearing good reports from Xiu's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
