Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryo Hamada (ranked 2086 p4p, 267 weight class) and Rovi Flexner (ranked 2624 p4p, 319 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rovi Flexner was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryo Hamada! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rovi Flexner! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A shot to the body from Hamada misses enabling Flexner to counter with a crisp jab. Hamada misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hamada throws a poor cross that misses
and Flexner cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Flexner throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Hamada lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Flexner circles away quickly and effectively. Hamada tries for a takedown but Flexner circles away easily and Flexner counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Hamada closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Flexner quickly recovers to half guard. Flexner looking for submissions off his back. Flexner looking for submissions off his back. Hamada is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Flexner!
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee warns Flexner that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Hamada trying to control but he's not successful this time. Flexner is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Poor strikes thrown by Hamada there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hamada looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Hamada looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Flexner wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Hamada quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Hamada but it's paid off an Flexner is forced to tap! Nice work by Hamada.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ryo Hamada! During a confident post fight interview, Ryo Hamada thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
