Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Colby Vovigton (ranked 5887 p4p, 541 weight class) and Nathan Dylan (ranked 3644 p4p, 424 weight class). Vovigton's entrance music is New york kurt angel. A fine choice. Colby Vovigton has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Colby Vovigton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nathan Dylan!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vovigton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dylan manages to avoid it.
Dylan swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Vovigton.
Dylan takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Dylan scores with a hook.
Vovigton walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Dylan cracks Vovigton with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Dylan fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Vovigton is out of range.
Dylan lands with a cross.
Dylan avoids the body shot from Vovigton.
It seemed like Dylan was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Dylan lands a head shot.
Donk. Dylan catches Vovigton right on the button with a cross.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Vovigton is rocked!
Nathan Dylan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dylan scores with a body shot.
Oh Vovigton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dylan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Vovigton stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Vovigton seems to have got his legs back now.
Dylan scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Vovigton fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dylan looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Vovigton pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dylan throws a nice outside leg kick.
Dylan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Vovigtons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
The fighters circle momentarily. Dylan darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Vovigton throws a combination that misses
and Dylan counters with a stiff right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dylan tried to score with a low kick but Vovigton checks it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vovigton takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Vovigton takes a jab right on the kisser.
Vovigton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Dylan! But no joy.
Dylan digs a good hook to Vovigton's body.
Vovigton misses with a jab to the body
and Dylan counters with a good low kick that Vovigton was not able to check.
Dylan throws a nice looking combination but Vovigton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Vovigton misses with a takedown
and Vovigton takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Vovigton forces Dylan back against the cage and clinches.

Vovigton tightens his grip and picks Dylan up, before dumping him to the ground. Dylan manages to land in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vovigton keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dylan's head.
Vovigton working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Vovigton is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Vovigton thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Dylan wants to stand up but Vovigton is controlling him.
Vovigton throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Vovigton won't allow Dylan to get back to his feet.
Vovigton sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dylan's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dylan can do anything to dispel that myth.
Dylan wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Vovigton is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dylan sees it coming and defends easily.

Vovigton seems to be working for a kimura but Dylan defends the submission attempt.
Dylan is trying to stand up here but Vovigton is controlling him well.

Vovigton is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vovigton prevents Dylan from standing back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nathan Dylan dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


The fighters circling - Dylan throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
It looked like Vovigton was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Vovigton is looking for a takedown.

Dylan breaks the clinch.
Dylan connects with a crisp jab.
Vovigton shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dylan defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dylan keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dylan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Colby Vovigton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dylan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vovigton tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Dylan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Dylan feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Vovigton sprawling to the canvas! Vovigton rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Dylan finish him?!
Vovigton tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dylan defends well and Vovigton ends up having to push Dylan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Colby Vovigton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A clash of legs there as Vovigton blocks the low kick.
An attempted straight right counter from Vovigton misses the target.
Vovigton uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dylan.
Vovigton appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dylan scores with a sloppy right hand. Vovigton should have avoided that one.
Colby Vovigton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vovigton scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dylan doesn't seem bothered though.
Dylan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Dylan lands with a big left! Vovigton is wobbled badly! Dylan comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Vovigton to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Nathan Dylan!
Nathan Dylan was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
