Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Akira Harada (ranked 2075 p4p, 235 weight class) and David McCarthy (ranked 3695 p4p, 368 weight class). Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy has managed to clinch.
McCarthy wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Harada is pressed up against the cage. McCarthy has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Harada down to the mat. Harada avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Harada looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

David McCarthy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harada forces McCarthy back against the cage and clinches.
Harada's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McCarthy closes the distance looking to clinch
and Harada counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
McCarthy doesn't manage to clinch there - Harada circles away.
Harada bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
McCarthy throws a series of punches but Harada moves out of range.
Harada jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
McCarthy fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Harada, pushing him back against the cage.
Harada creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
McCarthy wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
McCarthy manages to break the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McCarthy blocks a head kick by Harada.
McCarthy looks like he wants to counter punch here.

McCarthy doesn't manage to clinch there - Harada circles away.
McCarthy closes the distance and clinches.
Harada breaks the clinch.
McCarthy tries to clinch up.
McCarthy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Harada's waist but Harada gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McCarthy off to one side.

McCarthy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Harada swats away the attempt to clinch by McCarthy.
Harada cracks McCarthy with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Harada has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning McCarthy to stand back up!
McCarthy is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
BAM! Harada delivers a spinning backfist that drops McCarthy like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
