Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Rickson Silva (ranked 21645 p4p, 435 weight class) and Harry Hirsch (ranked 2578 p4p, 256 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Rickson Silva has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Rickson Silva seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; Rickson Silva ! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 7 wins and 4 losses; Harry Hirsch! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Hirsch fails with a takedown attempt. Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hirsch swats him away and circles back towards the center. Silva fails with a takedown attempt from distance. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hirsch. Hirsch has managed to clinch.
Silva ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Silva no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Hirsch wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position. Silva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hirsch defends it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hirsch can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hirsch pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Silva is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva is trying to control the position but Hirsch postures up. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Silva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hirsch defends it easily. Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hirsch is aware though and is defending well. Silva has his foot on Hirsch's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hirsch works his way back into a safe position though. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Silva working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Hirsch has passed into half guard!
Hirsch seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Silva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hirsch is pressing down on Silva 's thigh, looking to free his foot. Silva is holding on for now. Silva trying to control but Hirsch postures up.
Silva tries to get to full guard but Hirsch has control of the leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva is trying to maintain the position but Hirsch is very close to passing his half guard. Hirsch wants to work for an arm triangle but Silva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hirsch wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy. Silva is trying to control but can't.
Hirsch is trying to control. Silva wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Hirsch trying to mount his opponent but Silva defends it. Silva wants to control but Hirsch is keeping busy.

Silva stops Hirsch from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Silva tries to improve his position but Hirsch has taken his back! Hirsch has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Silva tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Hirsch pushes Silva away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
