Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tylonal Jones (ranked 2671 p4p, 265 weight class) and Shaq Champlain (ranked 4088 p4p, 359 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Rubber band man. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tylonal Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shaq Champlain!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones connects with the punch.
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Champlain closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away.
Champlain fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Champlain takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


It looks like Shaq Champlain has been cut.
A combination from Jones does no damage.
A left and a right from Jones both land. Nice combination.

Champlain dives in and scores a takedown into Jones's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Champlain content to stall in guard here.
Jones looking for a sweep. Not yet Jones, not yet.
Champlain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Champlain looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Champlain on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Champlain can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jones controls the pace.

Champlain has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jones is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Champlain.
Champlain manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jones's best efforts.
Champlain makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Champlain.
Jones is looking to stand up but Champlain won't let him.
Our spies down at at Kaptajnernes Træningscenter inform us that Champlain has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Champlain manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jones manages to get himself to full guard.

Champlain wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
Jones is wriggling around but Champlain manages to pass to half guard.
Jones is in trouble now - Champlain has advanced to mount!
Jones tries to hold on but Champlain pushes him away.
Jones holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Champlain tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Champlain tries to control but Jones wriggling away.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jones has given up his back here. Will Champlain look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Champlain has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Jones! Can he survive? No! He's out! Champlain gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Shaq Champlain!
A determined Shaq Champlain didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
