Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Danny Wood (ranked 1965 p4p, 218 weight class) and Tim Sanchez (ranked 4012 p4p, 354 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez digs a good body shot into Wood's ribs. Wood has been working on his boxing with his coaches at London MMA Club in the buildup to the fight. Wood tries to bum rush Sanchez with a series of wild strikes but Sanchez uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Wood throws out a loose jab but Sanchez uses good head movement to avoid it. Wood uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sanchez. Danny Wood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sanchez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Sanchez misses with a lunging right hand
and Wood counters with a three punch combo that has Sanchez backing up. Sanchez nods at Wood to acknowledge the strikes. Sanchez throws a jab when Wood was well out of range. Wood pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Sanchez back to the cage. Wood follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Sanchez is rocked! Sloppy strikes from Wood. Those never looked like landing. Sanchez is still on wobbly legs! Can Wood finish him? Sanchez misses with a lunging right hand
and Wood counters with a left and a right that stings Sanchez. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sanchez scores with a jab to the body. Wood moves out of range of the strikes. Sanchez throws a big shot that misses. Wood looks to score with a jab to the body but Sanchez is just out of range. Wood misses with a lunging right hand

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Danny Wood! Danny Wood decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
