Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Waterloo Madison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Yorn Beltic! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beltic has managed to clinch.
Beltic has clasped his hands together around Madison's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Beltic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Madison. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. You can see the frustration on Madison's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Madison sneaks back into half guard. Madison tries to roll over but Beltic keeps him under control. Madison is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Madison misses with some strikes from the bottom.

The fighters are battling for position here. Madison manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Beltic trying to control the position from guard on top but Madison is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Beltic is fighting to break Madison's control of his arms but Madison is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Beltic throws a big right hand that misses. Madison is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Beltic misses with a head kick.
Beltic closes the distance and pushes Madison back into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Madison is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Beltic gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Beltic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Beltic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Beltic manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Madison on his heels. He'll look to pass Madison's guard now, I'm sure. Madison trying to control the position here. Beltic looking to pass the guard. Madison is pulling down on Beltic's head to control his posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beltic wants to control from the top but Madison keeps moving. Madison has Beltic pulled in close to control his posture. Madison throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Madison pulls Beltic in close to his closed guard and prevents Beltic from doing any damage or advancing position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Madison drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Beltic is looking to stand back up but Madison counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Beltic.

Madison will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Still in half guard, Madison seems content to control. Madison is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Beltic keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Beltic is looking to improve his position.

Yorn Beltic dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Madison decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Beltic has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Madison is on him like a limpet, forcing Beltic back against the cage. Beltic prevents a takedown attempt there.
Beltic pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Madison takes one to the side of the head.
Madison looking to score a takedown here. Beltic is defending well but Madison drives through and ends up in Beltic's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Madison not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Madison slips nicely into half guard. Madison prevents Beltic from improving his position. Madison throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Madison missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Madison performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Beltic tries to get to full guard but Madison has control of the leg. Waterloo Madison overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Madison controlling the action here. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Beltic blocking the ground and pound attempt from Madison. Beltic makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Beltic.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Madison shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Beltic as he avoids it easily. Madison tries to clinch but Beltic moves out of range. Beltic looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Madison scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Waterloo Madison is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Madison tries to sprawl but Beltic drives through with a takedown into half guard. Beltic is breathing heavily. Madison holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Madison looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Madison controlling the position for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Beltic is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Madison defends it well. Madison holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Yorn Beltic will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Beltic forces Madison back against the cage and clinches. Madison tries for a takedown. No joy.
Madison is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Beltic's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Madison scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Beltic is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Madison is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Beltic looks calm but he's in trouble here. Madison gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Beltic is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Madison lets go of the hold and Beltic can pop his arm back in it's socket.
