Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ispa Perkele (ranked 2579 p4p, 328 weight class) and Niki Geo (ranked 3270 p4p, 407 weight class). Niki Geo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ispa Perkele! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Niki Geo! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perkele moves forwards but Geo connects with a nice, crisp jab. Perkele lands a nice shot that snaps Geo's head back.
Geo stuns Perkele with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Geo tries to move into range but Perkele moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Perkele avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Geo missing with a left hand there. Perkele was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Perkele blocks a jab. Geo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
As Geo tries to get set, Perkele tries to push him back and clinch up but Geo manages to avoid the attempt. Perkele just misses with a punch to the body.
Geo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Geo bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Geo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Perkele sees it coming and avoids it easily. Geo throws out a loose jab but Perkele uses good head movement to avoid it. Geo throws a series of strikes that have Perkele backpedaling.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Perkele uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Geo. Perkele thows a left - swing and a miss! Geo lands a jab to the nose. Geo throws a body shot but no joy. A left and a right from Geo both land. Nice combination. Perkele throws a right hand that misses
enabling Geo to counter with a crisp jab. Perkele takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Geo misses with a wild body shot. Perkele takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Geo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Geo scores with a decent looking hook. Geo throws a jab when Perkele was well out of range. Niki Geo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Perkele lands with a cross. Perkele avoids the body shot from Geo.
Geo throws a hook to the side of Perkele's head but Perkele sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Perkele looks to land a right hand but Geo moved out of range. Perkele closes the distance and clinches. Perkele tries to work over Geo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Perkele misses with the head strike.
Geo throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Geo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Perkele has him pressed against the cage. Perkele stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Perkele can't find room to land a body shot as Geo controls the action.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Perkele swings wildly with an uppercut but Geo uses good head movement to avoid it. Geo blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Perkele lands an uppercut. This has been an exciting period of action! Perkele struggles to land a body shot inside as Geo controls his hands.
Perkele throws a head punch that misses. Perkele lands on the inside with an uppercut. Geo tries to break the clinch but Perkele is controlling the position. Geo has had enough of the clinch but Perkele keeps him there for the moment. Perkele misses with a hook to the ribs.
Perkele takes a shot to the head. I was talking to Perkele's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Geo blocking some punches.
Perkele is leaning against Geo and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Perkele pushes Geo back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Perkele throws a head punch that misses.

Ispa Perkele decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
