Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ripper Stallone (ranked 6212 p4p, 486 weight class) and Marco Marshall (ranked 6279 p4p, 489 weight class). Marco Marshall will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ripper Stallone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marco Marshall! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stallone misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Stallone shoots in for a takedown but Marshall shows good takedown defense. A combination from Stallone does no damage. Marshall appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. A head kick misses from Stallone. Marshall will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stallone darts in and clinches Marshall up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Still in the clinch, Marshall scores with a nice short uppercut. Stallone tries to break the clinch but Marshall is controlling the position. Marshall throws an elbow that misses.
We've been hearing reports that Stallone has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Marshall lands an elbow just above Stallone 's eye. Stallone drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Marshall gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ripper Stallone. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stallone pulls guard effortlessly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marshall is stalling in the full guard. Stallone trying to control the position here. Marshall stops Stallone from standing up. Stallone is working an open guard so Marshall takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Marshall rushes Stallone and presses him up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Marshall. Stallone blocks an elbow strike. Marshall tries to stall but Stallone uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Marshall scores with a knee to the head.
Stallone changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Marshall fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Marshall slips a jab and a cross from Stallone.
Stallone tries for a takedown but Marshall sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Stallone is trying hard to land a takedown here. Marshall sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Marshall looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Stallone shoots in for a takedown but Marshall shows good takedown defense. Marshall is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Stallone shoots in and drives through. Marshall sprawls well. Marshall feints a counter leg kick. Stallone is breathing heavily. Marshall fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Stallone has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Stallone clinches with his opponent.
Marshall throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Marshall lands an elbow inside that Stallone shrugs off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marshall creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Stallone's defenses.
It looks like Ripper Stallone has been cut. Stallone has clasped his hands together around Marshall's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Marshall is looking for a sweep. Stallone content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Marshall is looking for a sweep. Marshall is not content to let Stallone control the position. Stallone throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stallone misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Marshall is looking to reverse the position. Stallone is looking to take a break and control but Marshall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Stallone taking a breather here. Marshall on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Stallone throwing shots but missing, from side control. Marshall regains half guard, as Stallone was trying to land strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marco Marshall dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ripper Stallone's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stallone. Stallone throws a right hand that Marshall ducks under and follows up with a left that Marshall also avoids with ease. Marshall was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Stallone throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Marshall counters with a nice low kick that buckles Stallone's knee momentarily. Ripper Stallone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Stallone closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Marshall quickly recovers to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marshall makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Marshall. Stallone has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Marshall looking to sweep here. No luck so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marshall wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Marshall keeping moving, preventing Stallone from controlling successfully. Stallone postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marshall is trying to control the position but Stallone postures up. Stallone controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Marshall stuffs the takedown. Marshall lands with a good body shot. Marco Marshall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Stallone with a lazy takedown attempt and Marshall counters with a lovely straight right hand! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ripper Stallone. That's going to take a lot out of him. Marshall stuffs the takedown attempt from Stallone. Stallone gets slowly back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stallone shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Marshall as he avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marshall doesn't manage to clinch there - Stallone circles away.
Marshall fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Some wild striking there from Stallone.
Oooooh!!! Marshall has knocked Stallone down with a huge combo! Marshall steps away and waves a wobbly Stallone back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Stallone is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Marshall has managed to clinch.
Oh Stallone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Marshall pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Marshall leaning his opponent against the cage. Stallone avoids a wild elbow strike from Marshall. Marshall working the clinch nicely. Stallone is working for position but Marshall cracks him with a big knee to the head! Stallone crumples up against the cage and Marshall lands two more shots before the ref can save Stallone! This one is all over!
