Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Kolesne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and joao senra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). senra has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kolesne has taken the fight to the clinch.

Kolesne has senra pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kolesne pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending senra tumbling to the mat - Kolesne dives into senra's guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kolesne connects with a nice short shot to senra's temple.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kolesne is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and senra defends it well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

and Kolesne decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in senra's guard.

senra misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kolesne feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
