The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tawaivuna shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Aumkatongchiangmai has closed the distance and engaged Tawaivuna in a clinch.

Aumkatongchiangmai's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tawaivuna dives in for a single leg takedown but Aumkatongchiangmai sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Aumkatongchiangmai forces Tawaivuna back against the cage and clinches.
Tawaivuna wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ribaraoi Tawaivuna. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tawaivuna drops down looking for an ankle pick but Aumkatongchiangmai pulls his leg out and moves away.

Tawaivuna changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Aumkatongchiangmai looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aumkatongchiangmai is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Tawaivuna has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Tawaivuna really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Tawaivuna wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Aumkatongchiangmai, who protects the arm well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Tawaivuna is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Aumkatongchiangmai knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Tawaivuna is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Aumkatongchiangmai looks calm but he's in trouble here. Tawaivuna gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Aumkatongchiangmai is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Tawaivuna lets go of the hold and Aumkatongchiangmai can pop his arm back in it's socket.
