Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
43 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mordecai Sackett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

16 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gilberto Da Souza!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sackett fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Sackett has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Souza shoots in looking for a takedown but Sackett manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Souza's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sackett feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Souza fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Sackett connects with a body shot that sends Souza's belly button to the back.
Souza gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Sackett counters by moving into the clinch.
Mordecai Sackett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gilberto Da Souza.

Souza wants to take the fight to the mat but Sackett manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

A nice left hand lands by Sackett.
Sackett lands a left hand that snaps the head of Souza backwards.

Sackett lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Souza is still on wobbly legs! Can Sackett finish him?
Sackett lands with a short shot to the head.

Sackett creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Souza's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Souza drops to his knees and Sackett pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

In his post fight interview, Mordecai Sackett started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
