Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shavers shoots for a takedown but Swas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Shavers stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shavers wants it to stay on the feet.
Swas goes for a double leg but Shavers avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Shavers continues to drive forward.
Shavers scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Shavers will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That was a close round but I would say that Dalton Swas will probably get the nod.

Shavers is trying to stand back up but Swas is controlling him
Still in half guard, Swas seems content to control.
Swas passes the guard and advances to mount!
Swas fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Swas breaks from Shavers's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Swas cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Shavers is trying desperately to improve position.

Swas goes for an armbar but Shavers turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Shavers.
Shavers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Shavers throws a strike but Swas rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Shavers looks to move to half guard but instead Swas has passed into mount! Damn!

Shavers gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Swas.

Shavers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Nice straight punches there by Shavers. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Shavers.

Shavers gets caught flat footed, as Swas shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Swas is pushing down on Shavers's leg trying to pass to half guard. Shavers is fighting to maintain full guard but Swas has managed to sneak the leg through.

Dalton Swas overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Swas keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Shavers's head.

Shavers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Swas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
