Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Johns (ranked 1881 p4p, 239 weight class) and Mikey Ronson (ranked 2683 p4p, 324 weight class). Ronson has chosen Rollin as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Johns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mikey Ronson!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ronson shoots and misses

and Johns counters with a takedown into side control.
Johns wants to control but Ronson is keeping him busy.

I really don't envy Ronson right now.

Ronson is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Johns gets his way!
