With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aslan Akishev!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akishev avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Akishev tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Marquez paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Akishev tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Marquez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Marquez throws a series of punches but Akishev moves out of range.
Marquez blocks a head kick by Akishev.
Akishev is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Akishev.
Marquez misses with a few strikes there.
Akishev is looking to slow Marquez down with leg kicks.
A head kick misses from Marquez.
Akishev tries to clinch but Marquez is having none of it.
Marquez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Akishev throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Akishev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Marquez swats him away and circles back towards the center.

A slow jab from Marquez misses its intended target.
Marquez throws a series of punches but Akishev avoids them all with ease.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fight stays on the outside here - Akishev looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Marquez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Marquez circles away from the clinch attempt.

Akishev tries to clinch up.
Marquez seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Akishev fails with an attempt to clinch.
Akishev blocks a jab.
The fighters circling - Marquez throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Marquez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A head kick from Akishev lands but Marquez takes it in his stride.
Akishev tries to clinch up but Marquez circles away and keeps his distance.
Marquez throws a big shot that misses.
Akishev and Marquez are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Akishev throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Marquez into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Akishev knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
