The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pusilla is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like Sampasa Pusilla has been cut.

Kowalski shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Kowalski performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Kowalski looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pusilla with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Pusilla knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kowalski on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Still in half guard, Kowalski seems content to control.
Kowalski stops Pusilla from getting back to his feet.

Kowalski thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Kowalski darts in and clinches Pusilla up against the cage.

Kowalski jumps guard and drags Pusilla to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Kowalski is looking for a triangle but Pusilla pushes his legs off easily.
Kowalski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pusilla manages to get himself to full guard.

Kowalski seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pusilla tries to buck Kowalski off but he can't manage it.
