Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jon James (ranked 4396 p4p, 0 weight class) and El Matador (ranked 15110 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes to the cage accompanied by Nothing else matters . El Matador is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, El Matador! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A decent looking body kick lands there for James. Matador looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. James tries to kick Matador off in order to stand up. Matador Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Matador landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Matador is staying tight to James's torso, preventing him from escaping. James knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Matador on the ground. It looks like Matador might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Matador prevents James from escaping the position. Matador wants to stand but James has his arm trapped. Sloppy strikes there by Matador.
That's one minute gone in the round. James tries to improve position but can't. James tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Matador presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. James wants to hold on but Matador pushes him away. Matador has hold of James's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and James manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
James avoids a series of strikes thrown by Matador.
Matador raining down shots from the mount! Matador is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! James is forced to tap! Great finish!
