Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between David Dilbrandt (ranked 3224 p4p, 162 weight class) and Jackie Vergys (ranked 3188 p4p, 161 weight class). Dilbrandt comes to the cage accompanied by Rock the Dragon. David Dilbrandt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Dilbrandt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jackie Vergys!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dilbrandt lands with a straight right. Vergys didn't see that one coming.
Vergys tries to move into range but Dilbrandt moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Dilbrandt connects with a jab.
Dilbrandt lands an overhand right.
Dilbrandt cracks Vergys with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Dilbrandt connects with a solid leg kick.
Dilbrandt closes the distance and lands a one-two.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dilbrandt stuns Vergys with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
That kick from Dilbrandt tenderised Vergys's leg. Vergys is trying to keep his angry face on.
Dilbrandt throws a series of strikes that have Vergys backpedaling.
Vergys shoots in for a takedown but Dilbrandt shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Vergys avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A jab from Dilbrandt finds it's way through Vergys's defenses.
Vergys's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dilbrandt connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Vergys scrambles back to his feet.
Vergys on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Dilbrandt lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Dilbrandt with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Dilbrandt scoring well with a low kick there.
Vergys fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vergys stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Dilbrandt.
Horrible takedown attempt by Vergys or perhaps it was just good defense by Dilbrandt, which made it look bad.
David Dilbrandt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackie Vergys.
Dilbrandt lands with a good body shot.
A jab lands there for Dilbrandt.
David Dilbrandt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dilbrandt buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Dilbrandt lands a leg kick that knocks Vergys off balance momentarily.
Dilbrandt connects with a looping right hand.
David Dilbrandt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Vergys looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Vergys is rocked!
Dilbrandt lands a jab-cross combination.
Vergys is still on wobbly legs! Can Dilbrandt finish him?
Dilbrandt drops Vergys with a huge uppercut! Vergys drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Dilbrandt is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Dilbrandt!
