The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendoza chopping away at his opponent's legs.
We've been told by Mendoza's head coaches at Hey Steves Fight Shack that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Hugbergsson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mendoza manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Hugbergsson wants to pass the guard but Mendoza is keeping the position.
Hugbergsson keeps trying to improve his position.
Hugbergsson pushes down on Mendoza's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Hugbergsson passes the guard and advances to mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hugbergsson wants to finish this one by submission but Mendoza is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hugbergsson.

Hugbergsson trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Hugbergsson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mendoza to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mendoza shrugs it off.
Hugbergsson forces the positional change into back control.

Hugbergsson has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Mendoza is defending well but eventually Hugbergsson manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Mendoza has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
