Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michal Jura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Johhny Mike!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mike gets a clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Jura.
Jura escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Jura!
Mike defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jura.
Jura closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Jura tries for a takedown but Mike circles away easily
and Mike counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Jura wriggles free and stands up.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jura gets tackled into the cage by Mike. Mike maintains the clinch.
Mike tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jura just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jura is pressed up against the cage. Mike has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jura down to the mat. Jura avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jura shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mike as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michal Jura. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mike has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mike there as he acknowledges the shot.

Mike gets tackled into the cage by Jura. Jura maintains the clinch.
Jura pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mike shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Jura to counter with a crisp jab.
Mike moves into range and clinches up with Jura.
Jura manages to break the clinch.
Mike fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mike has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mike has had enough of the clinch but Jura keeps him there for the moment.

Jura pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Mike is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jura to keep the fight standing.
Jura's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Jura lands an elbow inside that Mike shrugs off.

Mike is trying to force a seperation but Jura has the dominant position.
Mike fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jura ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jura no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Jura will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mike stops Jura from standing up.

Jura pushes Mike off and scrambles back to his feet.

Jura leaves Mike with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mike shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jura as he avoids it easily.

Mike jumps guard but Jura turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Jura jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mike walks away with a smile on his face. Jura gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Mike lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mike changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jura fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mike feints and as Jura raises his hands in defense, Mike changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jura wants to get back to his feet but Mike passes into half guard.
Jura tries to kick Mike off but Mike keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jura really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That was a close second round but I would say that Michal Jura will probably get the nod.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jura enables Mike to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jura manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Mike doesn't have the hooks in and Jura manages to turn into his guard.
Jura is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mike is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mike has escaped and now he's on top!
This has been an exciting period of action!
