The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dundee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dundee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dundee misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dundee closes the distance and clinches up with Lashley, looking for a takedown. Dundee pushes Lashley against the cage but Lashley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lashley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dundee looks to clinch

so Lashley counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lashley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lashley wants to stand but Dundee has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Lashley is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dundee looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Lashley wanted to stand there but Dundee had control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lashley controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Lashley drops back looking for a leg! Dundee is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dundee manages to kick Lashley off! Lashley jumps back into Dundee's guard.
Lashley lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Lashley slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Lashley passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Dundee!

Dundee is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Dundee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lashley on the ground.
Lashley takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Lashley working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Dundee looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Lashley! Submission of the night perhaps?
