Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rip Snorten (ranked 1804 p4p, 224 weight class) and Jon Snitch (ranked 1877 p4p, 232 weight class). Snorten comes to the cage accompanied by Sound of Silence. The crowd seem to be enjoying Snitch's choice of entrance music: I Wanna Rock. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rip Snorten! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 20 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Snitch! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snitch displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Snorten throws out the jab. Snitch bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Snorten manages to get back to half guard. Snitch is looking to advance position but Snorten won't allow it. Snorten is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Snitch is taking a breather. Snorten says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Let's hope that Snitch has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Snitch wants to pass the guard but Snorten is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, if Snitch is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Snitch prevents Snorten from improving his position. The fighters are battling for position here. Snorten manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Snitch slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Snorten looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Snitch content to stall in guard here. Snitch is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Snitch pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Snorten is keeping the position for now. Snitch trying to control but Snorten is working from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Snorten throws a chopping leg kick but Snitch manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Snorten drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Snitch rushes Snorten and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Snorten wants a takedown.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Snorten misses with a short punch on the inside. A battle for position here, against the cage. Snitch is looking for a takedown. Snorten scores with a shot to the side of Snitch's head. Snorten swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Snitch is trying to drag Snorten to the mat but Snorten just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Rip Snorten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Snitch. Snitch blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Snorten misses with a hook from the clinch. Snitch content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Snorten is pressed up against the cage. Snitch has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Snorten down to the mat. Snorten avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Snitch takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snorten scores with a jab. Snitch acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Snitch darts in looking for a takedown but Snorten gets double underhooks and turns Snitch into the cage. Snitch lunges at Snorten with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Snorten's hand. Snorten connects with an inside leg kick. Snitch dives in for a single leg takedown but Snorten sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Snorten swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Snorten scores with a nice right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Snitch keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Nice uppercut lands for Snorten. That snapped Snitch's head back.

Snitch lunges at Snorten with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Snorten's hand. Rip Snorten seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Snorten lands a leg kick that knocks Snitch off balance momentarily. Snitch keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nice cross by Snorten. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rip Snorten dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Snorten keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Snitch. Snitch steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Snorten. Nice shot by Snorten.
Snitch is rocked! Snitch leaves his chin hanging out and Snorten seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Snitch crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rip Snorten! A very excited looking Rip Snorten made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. Jon Snitch spoke after the fight, saying 'This loss will make me better, I will be back.'.
