PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wes Sims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Andrade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sims throws a series of punches but Andrade avoids them all with ease.
Andrade tries to close the distance and clinch but Sims swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sims tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Andrade paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sims will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Andrade closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sims tries to buck Andrade off but Andrade is having none of it.

Andrade stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Horrible takedown by Andrade or perhaps it was just good defense by Sims which made him look bad.
Andrade shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sims as he jumps to the side.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sims accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
