The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Staple throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Thomson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Staple!
Staple trying to control but Thomson flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Thomson biding his time, controlling Staple.
Thomson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thomson is cranking Staple's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Staple! He's tightened the choke and Staple is tapping out!
