PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Sitepu (ranked 4357 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hajimaro Fujinuma (ranked 4348 p4p, 0 weight class). Fujinuma has chosen Yooooooooo as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fujinuma shoots in and gets a takedown into Sitepu's guard.

Sitepu kicks Fujinuma off and gets to his feet.
Sitepu shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fujinuma sprawls well. Fujinuma wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sitepu gets slowly back to his feet.
Sitepu tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fujinuma swivels and escapes.

Fujinuma gets the takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sitepu is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Fujinuma stands up.

Sitepu gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fujinuma to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Sitepu looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fujinuma is one step ahead there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sitepu can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Fujinuma controls the pace.
It looks like Fujinuma might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sitepu trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Sitepu can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Fujinuma controls the pace.
Sitepu might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Fujinuma decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Fujinuma decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Sitepu manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Fujinuma keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A frustrated look appears on Sitepu's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Fujinuma has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sitepu is trying to keep an underhook but Fujinuma manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Sitepu wants to improve his position but Fujinuma is controlling well.
Sitepu is breathing heavily.

Fujinuma is trying to work for a kimura but Sitepu is defending well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fujinuma is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sitepu is just riding it out for now. Fujinuma eventually gives up the hold.

Fujinuma in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Sitepu tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Fujinuma!
