The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sosa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Balboa paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A decent looking cross lands there for Sosa.
A jab-cross combination lands for Sosa and sends Balboa crashing to the mat! Sosa follows him down to the mat - Balboa regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Rocky Balboa has been cut.

Sosa is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Sosa is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Balboa defends it well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Balboa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Balboa drops an elbow to the side of Sosa's head.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Balboa connects with a nice short shot to Sosa's temple.
Balboa works his way into full mount!

Balboa is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sosa can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
